Hi,
Welcome To My Kitchen, Spicy Treats...
I am Sangeetha, from southern part of India (Salem, Tamil Nadu) and residing in the USA for the past 6 years with my two naughty boys and my Husband, Mr.V(Vijay Manikandan)
I am a full-time home maker and proud to be so. Unlike others I started my cooking so early when I was 14 years old. Since my mom was a working woman i had no way other than to help her in the kitchen and that created an interest towards cooking and learned it from my mom, Grand mom & neighbor Aunts. They are my inspiration in cooking and this Blog is loaded with all the South Indian recipes which i learnt from them. Spicy Treats will help to cook simple & basic day-to-day recipes and the step by step pictures & simple English will help anyone to cook my recipes.
Apart from Simple & Basic South Indian recipes, I do have my favorite North Indian recipes, Regional recipes and also a handful of Baked Goodies. My love for baking increased only after Blogging and i love to bake everything from Scratch. You could find Eggless Baking,Vegan Bakes & Yeast Baking Recipes here. I love baking bun, breads and working with yeast more than the cakes & cookies. You could also find some Continental recipes.
Writing a food blog is my long time wish and it happened in Jan 2011. I started this blog without any knowledge on Blogging, but after few months I slowly get to know the terms of Blogging and in August 2012 got our own Domain, Spicy Treats. Blogging has also increased my interest & passion towards Food Photography. Knowing my interest my husband gifted me a Nikon D3100 DSLR camera which really help me to present a dish in an appetizing way. I use 18-55mm kit lens and also I like to post process my pictures for even more neat & pleasant images.
Hope Everyone who visits Spicy Treats will definitely feel worth spending Here. The recipes in this blog are tried by me and I am the only author of this blog.
This blog is my another world and I put lot of effort for each and every recipes/pictures shared here. So please do not copy/steal the content, images. If you really like my recipes, pictures please send an email am ready to share with you. So please ask before you use my work. Hope you understand.

hey sangeetha, i was looking at your gulab jamun recipe. no matter how hard i try, my jamuns always turn out to be hard and uncooked. also, is there a differnece between using milk powder or mava or khoya? thanks, pacman
ReplyDeletesorry I haven't tried jamuns with khoya. My recipe with Mawa powder sure gives your soft and juicy jamuns, few of my friends have tried and gave their positive feedback. Or you can try the same recipe with milk powder instead mawa powder.
