Here's the Collection of South Indian Rasam Varieties. Rasam is basically prepared with crushed or ground jeera-pepper-garlic. It can be prepared with or without Rasam Powder. Rasam powder enhances the taste and flavor but for puli rasam, milagu rasam and few other varieties rasam powder is not necessary. Only for Paruppu Rasam, rasam powder is needed. I usually buy Shakthi Brand. Below are the list of Rasam Varieties, Rasam is served with plain rice.
