Actually,i started to make potato curry with MTR potato sagu curry powder. Then i remembered about the Broccoli in the fridge for long time..so i decided to combine this with potato curry. I used half medium broccoli and 2 medium sized potatoes. Heres the recipe..
Ingrdients
- Broccoli 1 cup(cut into small florets)
- Potato 2 no.(boiled & cut into bite size pieces)
- Onion 1 medium(thinly sliced)
- Tomato 1/2 medium
- curry leaves few
- Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
- fennel seeds 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seeds/Jeera 1/4 tsp
- MTR sagu curry powder
- or
- Any curry powder 2 tsp
- chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder a pinch
- Salt as needed
- Oil 2-3 tsp
- Heat Oil in a pan/wok/kadai ,add mustard,fennel and jeera seeds when splutter add onion and curry leaves.
- Fry till onion turns transparent,then add chopped tomatoes and saute till it get soft.
- now add the turmeric and curry powder,mix well and fry for a minute.
- And add broccoli florets and fry for 1 minute and then add boiled and cut potato pieces.
- Add enough salt,mix everything gently and sprinkle little water, cook covered for 2-3 minutes.
- After that stir everything well and cook uncovered for 1-2 minutes .
- Lastly add some chopped coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
- Its done...serve hot with chapathi/dosa or accompaniment for rice varites also.
