Soya Bread Roll n Dosa Rolls

Soya Bread Rolls

Stuffed Bread are our fav snack cum breakfast.I tried so many stuffing with bread. On seeing Sobha's event Cook It Healthy-Proteinicious theme first ingredients came to my mind was "Soya"..As Soya/Soy Beans/Soya Chunks are rich in proteins when compared to milk, meat, egg. It is a rich protein alternative for vegetarians. I simply tried a easy soya masala for Bread rolls. Soya bread rolls are easy and filling snack.

Ingredients
  1. Bread slices   10 slices
  2. Butter 1-2 tbsp(room temp.)
  3. Soya granules   1 cup
  4. Onion   1 medium(finely chopped)
  5. Cumin seeds   1/2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder   a pinch
  7. Chilli powder   1/2 tsp
  8. Amchur powder  a pinch
  9. Garam masala   1/4 tsp
  10. Cilantro    few finely chopped
  11. Dosa batter 1 cup(for dosa Rolls)
Method
For Soya Stuffing
Take a vessel add 4-5 cups of water and allow to boil ,then add 1 cup of soya granules and allow to boil for some 5 minutes and rinse in fresh water, then drain and squeeze the soya granules completely and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan,add cumin seeds allow to sputter then add finely chopped onion n saute till light golden color. Then add drained soya n all dry powders.enough salt n stir well and fry 1-2 minutes.

Lastly add some finely chopped cilantro, mix well n turn off the stove.
Allow the soya stuffing cool completely, meanwhile prepare the bread for stuffed rolls.
For Soya Bread Rolls
Preheat the oven at 400 degree Fahrenheit.
Take bread slices and trim the edges and slightly dip it in the water, press between the palms to squeeze the excess water and keep it on a flat surface gently press all over the slice and then keep the soya filling (1-2 tbsp) on one side of the slice and roll it tightly, then press the edges to seal it and keep it in a paper towel. Do repeat the same for all bread slices and rest in paper towel for 5 minutes.
After that spread butter over the bread roll and bake it in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
Once done remove from the oven and serve.
Thats it crispy soya Rolls are ready to serve now..Serve hot with Ketchup.

I used the left over stuffing for dinner as dosa rolls. For Soya Dosa Rolls
Heat a griddle/tawa, pour one ladle full batter and spread them in circular motion, make it thin dosa..drizzle oil all alround the dosa and close it with a lid.

After 2 minutes the dosa gets ready n now place 2 -3 spoons of filling at one end of the dosa n roll it tightly and remove from the stove. Cut in to small pieces and serve .

Note:
As i don't have cilantro in hand lastly i added some spring onion greens n few finely chopped mint leaves..You can use ground soya chunks for this recipe.
