Today i am here with a delicious Paneer Gobi Masala for Blog Hop Wednesday from Divya's blog. She has lots of yummy delights. Its really a tough task to choose one among them...I tried Paneer gobi Masala and Kashmiri Pulao from her space. Both were so yummy and we loved it.
Ingredients
- Paneer 1 cup or 8oz pack(cubed)
- Cauliflower/Gobi 1 and 1/2 cup( cut in to small florets)
- Onion 1 large(finely chopped)
- Tomato 1 and 1/2 large(finely chopped)
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Cilantro 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Kasmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Pav bhaji masala 1 tbsp
- Kasoori Methi 1 tbsp (crushed)
- Soy sauce 1 tsp
- Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Butter/ghee 1/2 - 1 tbsp
- Jeera/cumin seeds 1tsp
Method
- Keep the paneer in warm water until use..(then drain completely ,wipe n add it to the curry )
- Heat oil + butter in a non stick vessel, add cumin seeds and allow to splutter.
- Then add onions and saute till turns translucent and add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell leaves.
- And add tomato and fry till sit turns soft and mushy, then add soy sauce and dry powders and stir fry the masala mixture for a minute.
- Then add tomato sauce and mix well after that add cauliflower florets and stir fry well and add 1cup or more water , enough salt and bring the mixture to boil .
- Once it started boiling ,add the paneer cubes and kasoori methi and mix everything gently and cook for 4-5 minutes in low flame.
- Lastly add finely chopped cilantro and turn off the stove.
- Thats it Yummy Paneer Gobi Masala is ready.. Serve warm with any Indian breads/Pulav/Biryani.
Instead of adding paneer as such, you can also shallow fry the paneer, drain n add it to the curry.
Pav bhaji masala can be replaced with garam masala or curry powder.
Here's the picture of Kashmiri Pulav from Divya's blog.I followed her recipe as such ...but i omitted the last step adding nuts..the pulav so flavorful n yummy ...checkout the link for the detailed recipe..
