Mung Beans Curry With Baked Cauliflower / Green Gram Cauliflower Curry

Today's recipe is a mild transformation of Kumbakonam Kadappa ! I love the flavor and taste of Kumbakonam Kadappa  which  is made yellow moong dal and potatoes. My recent favorite and everyone at home love Kadappa with idlis. This curry is slightly a tweaked version of Kadappa with green gram and baked cauliflower. The baked cauliflower gives nice aroma and crunchy taste. This is a mild curry and tasted heavenly when its served Hot with Chapathi or Dosai. Simple and easy side dish with nice aroma and taste !! Try this...

  • Once it starts boiling add the ground coconut paste and add enough salt and cook till the raw smell leaves.
  • Lastly add the baked cauliflower florets and simmer the curry for 2 minutes and add some chopped cilantro and turn off the stove.
  • that's it delicious Mung bean curry with baked cauliflower is read to serve,Enjoy with hot Puri/Chapathi.

Notes:
I made it to a thick curry for chapathi, if you want can add more water and make as a thin kurma for dosa/idly also.
I felt that dal was little more, so if you want can use less then 1/4 cup.

  18. Wow! This is the best curry recipe by far that I have tried from the internet. I live in Central Oregon and could not use curry leaves (can't find them anywhere here!) but it did not matter, it still tasted DIVINE!!! I added coconut milk and roasted the cauliflower with Harissa Spice that I found in Bend....F&%#king awesome!! Thanks for sharing....
