For the first time i tried this healthy and new combo, Ridge gourd and peas. I made a simple stir fry like recipe without adding any masala. This goes well with both rice and rotis. Very easy and quick recipe. As i made this in hurry for our lunch i couldn't able to take step wise pictures and also this is a very easy one with 3 steps and hope you can follow it easily. This simple recipe as follows...

Ingredients
- Ridgegourd 1 and 1/2 cup(peeled and chopped)
- Peas 1/2 cup
- Onion 1 meidum or 1/2 cup(finely chopped)
- Curry leaves few
- Cilantro 1-2 tsp(finely chopped)
- Shredded coconut 1-2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder 1/2-1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
- Chana dal 1 tsp
- Urad dal 1/2 tsp
- Wash and peel ridge gourd and chop finely and keep ready.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the tempering ingredients and allow to sputter n fry the dal lightly.
- Then add curry leaves and onion and saute till it turns translucent.
- After that add chopped ridge gourd, peas and turmeric powder and stir fry for a minute followed by chilli and cumin powder and enough salt.Combine well.
- Sprinkle very little water and cook covered till the vegs cooked.
- Lastly add shredded coconut and cilantro and stir fry for a minute and turn off the stove.
- That's it...simple, healthy n yummy Ridge gourd peas stir fry ready to serve.
- Serve as accompaniment for rice and rotis.
