Mighty Mango / Mixed Fruits Mango Juice

Its time for Vegan Thursday, a small group created by Priya in which the members of this group share Vegan recipes monthly twice on Thursdays. There's no special themes, rules for this group and is mainly to share vegan recipes. For this Thursday am happy to share a Healthy & delicious Vegan Drink - Mighty Mango with the King Fruit Mango & mixed fruits(apple,orange,banana with a hint of lemon) combo.

Tofu Tikka Masala / Vegetarian Tikka Masala

One of my friend requested me to share a easy curry recipes using Tofu. To her request few weeks back i made this very popular n our family favorite Tikka Masala using Tofu - Tofu Tikka Masala. This Tikka Masala recipe is slightly adapted from vahrehvah.com. I recently posted the Tofu Tikka recipe which is served as an appetizer and the same can be added to a creamy and spicy gravy which is served as a side dish with any Indian flat breads n mild pulao.

Bialys / Soft Chewy Rolls - We Knead To Bake # 5

After completing four successful breads for the past months, the fifth bread of We Knead to Bake is Bialys. Bialys is nothing but a typical round bread more or less similar to a Bagel with a depressed center with savory onion filling and a soft chewy & floury crust. But this is the first time am tasting this delicious chewy rolls/bread that too all baked by me. Thanks to Aparna for giving us different and nice choices of bread and we thoroughly enjoy baking & eating these lovely bread every month and am really glad to be a part of this Great event.
Baking Bialys is not a difficult task but to achieve the perfect floury crust with chewy & soft bread is really a challenging one. Over baking will give u a hard bread so keep an eye while baking and it doesn't need more than 12-15 minutes. For the savory filling along with spiced caramelized onions i added sliced fresh bell peppers and chopped cilantro for extra flavor and taste. It was so good and we loved the spicy toppy. For my kids i baked them plain with some mozzarella cheese and they loved the cheesy bread to the core. If u are looking for a easy & savory bread with simple ingredients n process then this is one of the best option and am sure u will love it. Now off to the recipe...

Watermelon Lemonade / Easy & Healthy Summer Drink

Today's recipe is a refreshingly cool drink to beat the heat, Watermelon Lemonade. Here day by day its getting hot & humid and definitely need of some healthy thirst quencher to stay cool & fresh. So me started making some fresh homemade coolants / fruit juices to beat the heat. Watermelon is one such summer fruit contains more water content naturally, high nutritional value, antioxidants, and its a must fruit to include in this hot sunny days. And also eating watermelon helps in reducing weight and the good amount of vitamins helps in eye health also(read in an article, digital journal). So include this high nutritional summer fruit to stay healthy & fresh.

Dum Aloo / Baby Potato Curry

Potato/Aloo is one of my family favorite vegetable and that's the reason for lots of potato recipes here. Once in a week i make any recipe may be a simpley potato fry, potato kurma for ildi/dosa, potato masal for rotis or anything using potato. Potato is one quick cooking veg and anything with potato will be a hit with kids n adults too.
A month back bought baby potatoes mainly to make this creamy, spicy n delicious Dum Aloo. There are lots of version for this popular Dum Aloo but this recipe is from one of my Friend. The process n preparation might look as difficult but its really so simple and easy to make. This Dum Aloo goes well with Naan, Phulkas, Chapathi n also with some mild. pulao.

Bread Pizza / Easy Pizza Recipe / Quick Bread Pizza - Kids Friendly Snack Ideas!


Today's recipe is one of the easy & quick kids friendly snack recipe using Bread - Bread Pizza. My kids love bread and i always stock breads in my pantry to make some quick snack / breakfast / brunch for them. Their most fav breakfast is plain bread toast with cream butter & jam and a glass of milk, its so easy & simple for me to make. But this won't work for all the time, still happy that once in a while they make my job quick and easier.

Orange Grape Juice

After a severe cold winter for the past six months now here at our place Summer started and we really like/need this kind of warm weather. At the same time the hot sunny days really need more thirst quencher to make ourself hydrated & feel refreshing. Juices/popsicles/ice creams are one of the easiest way to stay include more seasonal fruits & stay hydrated. I mostly prefer fresh juices/smoothies without dairy products from fresh fruits which are coolant by nature & healthy too. Recently tried this Orange & Grape combo and this fresh juice require only some fresh grapes, oranges & little water, if needed add sugar or any sweetener &  just mix everything that's it..so refreshing and delicious summer drink ready to keep you cool n fresh. If u haven't tried this combo do give it a try, am sure u will love it.

Tofu Tikka - Easy Tofu Recipes

Usually i make curry, stir fry or fried rice with Tofu but this time wanted to make some easy appetizer or snack with Tofu. My first choice was any Chinese Starter but due to lack of few ingredients  i finally ended up with this Tofu Tikka. Tikka is a popular Indian appetizer mostly made using meat/chicken with the marinade of Yogurt & Indian spices combo. For a vegetarian option Paneer is commonly used in tikka preparations. Here, i used Extra Firm Tofu to make it healthy & Yummy. It can be grilled or baked in oven or u can cook in stove top also. I toasted them in an iron skillet, the tikka came out so perfect and tofu tasted so good with spices blend. This is one of the easy & simple appetizer for any get together/Potluck/any party. Sure a crowd pleaser , give it a try and u will like it.

Mango Milkshake / Mango Drinks - Summer Special!!

Today's recipe is a kids friendly rich n delicious milkshake using fresh mango pulp n ice cream. Instead of ice cream i made it using mango kulfi, milkshake was so creamy, delicious n flavorful with cardamom n fine crunch of pistachios. Aloo Gobi Pizza / Tandoori Aloo Gobi Pizza

From this month we are starting our Home Baker's Challenge , a monthly baking event for both blogger & Non bloggers initated by Priya & team, with the first baking recipe, Pizza. From kids to aged person love pizza, the color, its colorful appearance, cheesy texture n chewy bread tempts everyone to have atleast a bite. We too love pizza/only veggie pizza and once in a month or two months once will enjoy pizza at pizza Hut.

Carrot Payasam / Carrot Kheer

We love payasam and i used to make it without fail in all our happy moments n special occasions. But this time on my elder one's birthday couldn't able to make his favorite payasam bcoz of party n other things. So last week again he requested me to make payasam for him. But this time i wanted to try new payasam from my regular Vermicelli payasam & moongdal payasam, then remember about this Carrot Payasam from Divya's Culinary Journey. Her payasam color, look, texture n recipe attracted me more, and also she added vermicelli to carrot payasam which sounds even more interesting n delicious and wanted to try it for long time. finally, last week made this delicious Carrot Payasam and we enjoyed it. Mango Banana Strawberry Smoothie / Breakfast Smoothie

Today's recipe is also a summer special drink with the season's fruit Mango. To make this even more nutritious and delicious i tried adding banana and strawberry. The combo turned out really good and we loved this yummy smoothie. This is very filling and perfect for breakfast n good thirst quencher too. As its contain banana and mangoes this is not a low calorie drink but loaded with vitamins & minerals. I usually do not add sugar/honey to my drinks and this smoothie also doesnt require any artifical sweetner, sweet from the fresh fruits itself enough but if u wish/want u can add it very well. Mango Kulfi | Easy Kulfi Recipe - Summer Special!!!

Summer at its peak in India and few other conutires but here in WI its still chill, windy and only from this week weather is getting warm and bright. After spending 6-7 months in minus degrees we feel 70 F itself too hot, sweat n thirsty. Dunno how we managed in India but now we cant bare the heat. Here the weather is extreme cold during winter and too hot during Summer.

Dosa Toast / Savory French Toast / Quick Bread Toast Using Idli/Dosa Batter

I wanted to try this Dosa Toast for long time, recently saw this recipe on my Friend Manjula's Desi Fiesta Blog and was so much tempted and tried it immediately. Glad that I tried it, dosa toast was so delicious and my family members loved it and now this is my lil' one's most favorite breakfast. Thank You Manju for this wonderful recipe. If you are looking for an easy & quick recipe to make use of the left over idli/dosa batter and bread slices this is one of the best choice of recipe. Bottle gourd Chickpeas Curry / Sorakkai Kondakadalai Kootu(With Peanuts & Spices) - Announcing Vegan Thursday

We a group of food bloggers started a new event and named it as Vegan Thursdays, this event starts from today. The main motto of this event is to share vegan dishes from any cuisine. Most of our Indian foods are vegan, obviously most of our daily routine foods we make or eat are vegan without our knowlegde.
Veganism means abstaining from the use of animal porducts. Vegan peoples dont use dairy products,eggs,and any other animal derived substances like honey in their cooking.So we a bunch of food bloggers will be showcasing our vegan foods during thursdays, this event will held twice a month. We will be posting the first week's thursday and last week's thursday of every month. This Vegan Thursday dont have any theme and the choice of the recipes prepared by each blogger being part of this event depend upon their choice.
