The Mamra we get here, are not crunchy and crisp, we have to roast nicely to get crisp and crunchy. I prefer to add oil after roasting the makai mamra to crisp, that way there will be less smoke as this take 8-10 minutes of roasting. If you get fresh crisp mamra then add oil first and roast well. Adjust spices to your taste & preferences. Just chaat Masala & turmeric powder alone also tastes good. Now off to the recipe,
Masala Corn Puffs RecipePrep Time : 1 Minute | Cook Time : 10 MinutesRecipe Category : Snacks | Serves 3-4Ingredients
- Makai mamra/Corn Mamra 5 cups
- Coconut oil 2 Tbsp
- Kashmiri Chili powder 1.5 tsp
- Chaat Masala 2 tsp or to taste
- Jeera powder 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
- Salt 1/4 tsp or to taste
Method
- First Roast Makai Mamra for 8-10 minutes are until it turns crisp, if you press a piece it should crumble right away.
- Once roasted crisp add all other ingredients, roast for 1-2 minutes then check for seasoning.
- Serve them right away with you favorite Beverages.
- Any Left overs should be stored in an air tight container.
