Masala Makai Mamra Recipe / Masala Corn Puffs Recipe - Easy Tea Time Snack !

Mamra, one of the best choice for low calorie and filling snack. My kids love this Makai Mamra/Corn Puffs more than the Rice & Wheat mamra. Desi style Masala Makai Mamra/ Masala Corn puffs recipe is so easy to make with simple Ingredients. We love Coconut Oil for making masala corn puffs but you can also use butter or ghee. 

The Mamra we get here, are not crunchy and crisp, we have to roast nicely to get crisp and crunchy. I prefer to add oil after roasting the makai mamra to crisp, that way there will be less smoke as this take 8-10 minutes of roasting. If you get fresh crisp mamra then add oil first and roast well. Adjust spices to your taste & preferences. Just chaat Masala & turmeric powder alone also tastes good. Now off to the recipe,

Masala Corn Puffs Recipe
Prep Time : 1 Minute | Cook Time : 10 Minutes
Recipe Category : Snacks | Serves 3-4

Ingredients 
  1. Makai mamra/Corn Mamra    5 cups
  2. Coconut oil      2 Tbsp
  3. Kashmiri Chili powder     1.5 tsp
  4. Chaat Masala      2 tsp or to taste
  5. Jeera powder      1/2 tsp
  6. Turmeric Powder     1/4 tsp
  7. Salt     1/4 tsp or to taste

Method 
  • First Roast Makai Mamra for 8-10 minutes are until it turns crisp, if you press a piece it should crumble right away.
  • Once roasted crisp add all other ingredients, roast for 1-2 minutes then check for seasoning. 
  • Serve them right away with you favorite Beverages. 
  • Any Left overs should be stored in an air tight container.
