- Cooked Rice 1 cup or less
- Curry leaves Paruppu Podi 2 tbsp
- Onion 1 medium(sliced)
- Garlic 2 fat cloves(chopped)
- Curry leaves 1 sprig
- Dry Red chili 1 no.(broken)
- Salt to taste
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
- Chana dal & Urad dal 1 tsp each
- Peanut 1 tbsp
Method
- Heat oil in a wok/pan, add mustard seeds wait till it spullter, then add dal and peanuts and roast till golden brown.
- Now add curry leaves, dry red chili, garlic and fry for few seconds.
- After that add onions, sprinkle little salt and saute for 1-2 minutes.
- Then add cooked rice and curry leaves paruppu podi and stir fry for 1-2 minutes. Check for salt.
- That's it...yummy Podi Sadham ready, serve with papad/chips/pickle/any veg fry.
