Channa Chat Recipe is a versatile recipe which can be served as a snack for snack time along with some salt crackers or as a meal with some Stir Fried Tofu or Paneer or as a side/salad for lunch/Dinner. We love this refreshing and delicious channa chaat for our evening snack. My boys love it
with Tortilla Chips & Spritz Crackers. If you are looking for some easy at the same time healthy snack for Diet & Diabetic people then this Channa Chaat recipe is perfect for everyone. No fancy ingredients, no grinding, nothing just some basic spices from the kitchen & some fresh veggies of your choice is more than enough to make this healthy, tasty channa chaat. - Cooked Channa/Chickpea 1 Cup
- Onion, finely chopped 3 Tbsp
- Tomato, deseeded finely chopped 2 Tbsp
- Cucumber, chopped 1/4 cup
- Green chilli 1 small(finely chopped)
- Lime Juice 2-3 tsp
- Cilantro, finely chopped 2 Tbsp
- Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp or less
- Chaat Masala 3/4 tsp
- Jeera Powder 1/2 tsp
- Kashmiri Chilli Powder 1/2 - 3/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
Notes:This is a basic chaat, no need of green chutney or sweet tamarind chutney just the above ingredients is more than enough for a tasty healthy snack.You can also add some shredded carrots, cup of boiled potato/aloo & corn kernels.Adjust spices to your taste, the above measurement will give you a medium spicy chaat. For less spicy skip green chilli.You can also add a tsp of honey or maple syrup to the chaat. I usually add, this time forgot it.Method
- In a wide mixing bowl, add in all the ingredients.
- Toss everything well, taste it and adjust the spices/salt to your taste.
- Serve right away or refrigerate it for 15 minutes and serve it chilled.
