Looking for a healthy, protein & fiber rich delicious and filling breakfast recipe ? Then you should try this Banana Berry Oats Breakfast Smoothie Recipe. This is an easy and quick to make recipe, much better than overnight oats. We eat breakfast and never skipped that important meal of the day or ate cereals. Either Indian food or sometimes I prefer Breakfast Smoothies or Chia Seeds Pudding. Breakfast smoothies are so easy to make and also makes a healthy delicious filling breakfast.  Dump it all kinda smoothie - You can add any desired fruits, seeds, nuts & milk or yogurt. This Banana Berry Breakfast smoothie is especially good for women to take during PMS days as this smoothie is rich in Potassium, Magnesium, Zinc & much more micro nutrients which helps to ease the PMS related symptoms. Also helps in the prevention of water retention which causes bloating & abdominal cramps. Personally benefitted with this smoothies so thought of sharing it here. I used mixed fruits like Banana, Blueberry, Chikoo/Sapota, Dates for this smoothie, you can use any combo of fruits but try to include banana & little berries with other fruits like Mango, Peaches, Strawberry, etc.  I usually do not add sugar or honey or maple syrup just for the sake of video did it this time. Give it a try as its all natural ingredients and healthy too unless if you are allergic to any of them.

Ingredients 
  1. Banana   1 no.
  2. Fresh or Frozen Blueberry   1/3 cup 
  3. Medjool Dates  1 or 2 
  4. Frozen Chikoo or any fruit    1/4 cup 
  5. Organic Chia Seeds      2 tsp 
  6. Organic Ground Flax Seeds   1-2 Tbsp 
  7. Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds    1 Tbsp 
  8. Quick Oats     1/4 cup or 1/3 cup 
  9. Milk/almond/Soy/Oats or Any     3/4 cup 
  10. Water    1/4 cup (Adjust liquid to desired consistency) 
  11. Maple Syrup    1-2 tsp(optional) 

Notes:
You can use fresh or frozen berries. Adding chikoo is optional you can skip or replace with mango or any desired fruit. 
For Vegan option, use nuts milk or plant based milk. 
I usually use Almond milk or greek yogurt for my breakfast smoothies but this time used regular milk.
Dates gives nice texture and sweet taste to the smoothies. Use Medjool dates.
Pumpkin seeds can be replaced with any desired seeds.
You can use raw oats in the smoothie, it blends well and tastes good and doesn't give any bitter taste. 
You can also add 1-2 Tbsp any nuts butter but even without that the smoothie is thick creamy because of the addition of chia seeds, ground flax seeds & pumpkin seeds. 

Method
  • Take all the ingredients in a blender, Blend for 45-60 seconds. 
  • Then transfer to a serving glass or bowl and top it with some chia & pumpkin seeds, oats and if needed add some sliced banana & some berries on top and enjoy.
