You can make this Corn Cheese toast on stove top with regular Dosa tawa/Griddle and also using Toaster oven or bake them in convection oven. Tawa version also gives you a crispy toast with mildly melted cheese. We love the toaster oven toast, gives you a perfectly toasted crispy cheesy corn toast. If you or your kids like sweet corn, then this recipe is for you. My kids who doesn't even like sweet corn, loved this corn cheese toast. I added green chilli and that added a nice balance between the sweet corn & rich cheese flavor. I served these corn cheese toast with Marinara Sauce. My little one likes it with Garlic Sauce.

- Bread 4 slices(I used Honey Wheat Bread)
- Butter, softened 2 Tbsp
- Green chilli, finely chopped 1 tsp
- Italian Seasoning 1/4 tsp(optional)
- Salt to taste
- Mozzarella Cheese, grated 3/4 cup
- Boiled Sweet Corn /2 cup
Notes:I added boiled corn right away to the cheese-butter mix which soften half of the cheese before toasting, this perfect for tawa method.
Adding green chilli is optional, you can skip green chilli & use chilli flakes or crushed black pepper.You can also add finely chopped capsicum, tomato, onion to the cheese-corn mix.While toasting on tawa, cook in low-medium heat.Method
- In a bowl, add butter, green chilli, salt, cilantro, Italian seasoning, grated cheese, boiled corn and combine everything well.
- Then spread the corn-cheese mix on the bread slices
- Heat a tawa, when its hot spread little butter and keep the bread slice with corn-cheese mix cook covered for a minute then open the lid and toast until bread turns crisp and cheese melts.
- If using toaster oven, arrange the bread slices in a cookie sheet and turn on toast mode and let it toast for 6-7 minutes.
- Once the bread slices are toasted, sprinkle some chilli flakes on top & cut into small cheese sticks and serve immediately.
