you can use Roof Azha too. Using sugar syrup is recommended for this drink but you can also use powdered sugar. Adding soaked sabja/sweet basil seeds is optional but it adds lovely texture and also healthy to include during warm weather to beat the heat

- Lemon Juice 2 Tbsp
- Sugar Syrup* 1/3 cup
- Chilled Water 1 cup
- Rose Syrup 1-2Tbsp(littleless than 2Tbsp)
- Rose Water 1 tsp
- Ice Cubes as needed
- Sabja seeds 2 tsp
Notes:
*For Sugar Syrup - take equal amount of sugar and water in a sauce pan. Bring it to boil until sugar dissolves and the liquid turns slightly sticky & shiny. No string consistency needed. Just sticky liquid is enough. Will share the complete tutorial video soon.
This sugar syrup can be store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to a month.For lemonades sugar syrup gives perfect sweet taste than the sugar.For a healthier option you can replace the sugar syrup with honey.I used Organic Raw Cane sugar to make the syrup so that syrup color looks bit dark.Using rose water is optional, just added for extra rose flavor. You can skip or replace with 1 or 2 drops of rose essence/extract.Adjust sweetness according to your taste the above recipe gives you a perfect sweetness but for people you like mild sweetness can reduce 1 or 2 tsp of sugar syrup.I used juice of one good ripe lime. You can use yellow lemons too.Method
- First soak sabja/sweet basil seeds with 1/2 cup water in a bowl for 10-15 minutes.
- Once the sabja sweets are soaked and swelled up, start making rose lemonade.
- In a pitcher, add lemon juice, sugar syrup, chilled water and mix everything well.
- Now to it add Rose Syrup & Rose water and stir well. Taste the drink and adjust now according to your preference.
- The drink can be prepared and stored in the refrigerator for later use.
- To serve the Rose Lemonade..
- In a serving glass, first add some crushed ice or ice cubes then add soaked sabja seeds(1 Tbsp or as needed) and pour prepared rose lemonade to it. Stir well and serve immediately.
