Ingredients
- Bread slices 6
- Potato, boiled & mashed 1/2 cup
- Mozzarella Cheese 1/2 cup or little less
- Onion, finely chopped 2 Tbsp
- Jalapeño, finely chopped 2 Tbsp
- Cilantro, finely chopped 1 Tbsp
- Amchur Powder 1/4 tsp
- Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
- Jeera Powder 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- chilli flakes 1/4-1/2 tsp
- Butter, softened 3 Tbsp
Notes
If using Jalapeño remove the seeds & center vein portions and chop them finely.
You can also Skip Jalapeño and use green chillies instead.
Add more or less spices to your preference.
Instead of baking, you can toast them in tawa or deep or shallow fry them.
This potato cheese filling can also be used to make sandwiches.
Method
- In a mixing bowl, add mashed potatoes, finely chopped onions, jalapeño, cilantro & all spice powders, chilli flakes, salt, grated cheese & mix everything well and keep aside.
- Now take the bread slices, trim the edges/thick brown parts and roll them into flat using rolling pin.
- Place the prepared potato cheese filling in the center, add some extra cheese on top, then brush the edges with water and close both the end and all sides and make a pocket, use water to seal edges.
- Repeat the same procedure for remaining bread slices
- Once done, brush the bread rolls with butter.
- After that bake the bread rolls in the 375 F preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the crust turns crisp and golden brown.
- Once baked, remove the bread rolls from the oven and serve them hot with some ketchup.
