Eggless Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies are easy to make guilt free cookies without Butter, Maida/APF and is also a vegan recipe. Very simple and easy cookies recipe that anyone can make. These Oatmeal Cookies are mildly sweet, chewy with little crunch. This Eggless Whole Wheat Oatmeal Cookies recipe my friend's recipe and the original recipe uses Yogurt but I made this as a completely Vegan recipe by using a fruit puree.
Yes, I have used Banana Puree as a substitute for Egg or Yogurt. I have tried this Vegan oatmeal cookies recipe few times before and its one of my kids favorite cookies. Wanted to share this super easy and quick healthy cookies here. You can make this for your kids' Snack Box. These cookies are perfect to enjoy with some hot Coffee or Chai.I used quick Oats for this recipe but you can use regular whole grain Oats too, but you need to pulse them in a blender to a coarse powder and use it in the recipe. You can also use Oat Flour if you don't like whole oats in cookies but trust me tiny bits of oats gives nice texture and taste to the cookies which you will love for sure. Now off to the recipe
Eggless Oatmeal Cookies RecipePrep Time : 10 Minutes | Cook Time : 10-12 MinutesRecipe Category : Dessert | Makes : 18 CookiesIngredients
- All Purpose Flour 3/4 Cup(I Used Whole wheat flour)
- Quick Oats 1 Cup
- Baking Powder 1 tsp
- Cinnamon Powder 1/4 tsp
- Salt 1/4 tsp(optional)
- Banana Puree 1/4 Cup
- Brown Sugar 1/4 Cup
- Oil 1/3 Cup
- Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
- Vegan Chocolate Chips 1/3 Cup or 1/2 cup
NotesI used Banana Puree as a substitute for Egg. You can also use Yogurt, grated apple or Pumpkin Puree or Carrot Puree to make this Oatmeal Cookies.Use neutral flavor oil or even coconut oil if you like its flavor. I used Cooking Olive Oil.You can also use chopped nuts or raisins instead of chocolate chips.Cinnamon powder adds lovely flavor to the oatmeal cookies, if you don't like you can skip or can also use any desired spice powder.You can also use regular chocolate chips instead of Vegan choco chips.This recipe gives you a mildly sweet cookies if you like your cookies to be on the sweeter side then add 1/3 Cup brown sugar. But 1/4 cup with semi sweet chocolate chips will gives you a perfectly sweet cookies. So adjust sugar accordingly.Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or with baking mat and keep aside.
- In a mixing bowl, add flour, quick oats, baking powder, cinnamon powder mix well.
- In an another mixing bowl, add banana puree, oil, sugar, vanilla extract and beat well until all ingredients are combined well and sugar dissolved.
- Now to the banana puree mix add the prepared dry ingredients mix(flour-oats mix)
- Combine everything well using wooden spoon or spatula and fold in chocolate chips
- Drop by 1 tablespoon size onto the baking sheet and slightly press it.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
In a Mixing bowl, add in dry ingredients - wheat flour, quick oats, baking powder, cinnamon powder and mx well and keep aside.
Oil, vanilla extract, brown sugar
and combine to a soft dough, add in chocolate chips and combine well. Using a tablespoon scoop out the cookie dough into baking sheet
gently flatten the shaped cookies and bake in 350 F pre heated oven for 10 minutes.
Let the cookies cool down completely on a wired rack and then enjoy the delicious Eggless Oatmeal Cookies.
