Paneer Pakora Waffles Recipe is an easy to make healthy and guilt free snack. Here, kids are in summer break and myself got busy with other things so took a small break and today am here with an easy Paneer Pakora recipe that is not deep fried and prepared in a waffle maker which makes it healthy and delicious. These savory waffles are so tasty and gluten free snack recipe or even perfect for a quick breakfast along with some tasty chutney.
Pakora Waffles/Savory Waffles are in my to do list for a while and recently when my friend shared her Zucchini Paneer waffles on Whatsapp, it inspired me to try Pakora Waffles right away. I simply followed my Dill Cabbage Pakora and added some grated Paneer & sliced Onions instead of cabbage & Dill leaves. Paneer Pakora Waffles turned out so yummy not only my kids even V loved it. - Sliced Onion 1 Cup
- Grated Paneer 3/4 Cup
- Finely Chopped Green Chilli 1 tsp
- Finely Chopped Ginger 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves few finely chopped(optional)
- Finely Chopped Cilantro 1/4 Cup
- Besan/Gram Flour 1/4 Cup
- Rice Flour 2 Tbsp
- Water 1/2 cup or less
- Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
- Fennel Seeds 1/2 tsp
- Hing 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1-2 Tbsp
Notes:The same pakora batter can also be deep fried instead of cooking in waffle maker.For Vegan option, skip Paneer and make it as onion pakora or use grated Tofu instead of Paneer.I like fennel seeds in my pakora, you can skip or replace it with jeera/cumin seeds.You can also use finely chopped or thinly sliced capsicum/green pepper to this pakora recipe.Grated carrot, cauliflower, beetroot can also be added for more tasty and colorful pakora waffle.Method
- In a mixing bowl, add grated paneer, sliced onions, finely chopped green chilli, ginger, cilantro, fennel seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, hing, salt and mix everything well and then add gram flour, rice flour, baking soda mix well and add water to make it to a thick Pakora batter.
- Pre heat waffle maker, when its ready and hot brush with oil or use cooking oil spray to grease the surface.
- Then pour 1-2 Tbsp of prepared pakora batter and cook according the waffle maker instructions, since I used Mini Waffle maker, for each pakora waffle it took 5 minutes to get crisp and golden brown crust.
- Once the pakora is cooked crisp and turned golden brown remove from the waffle maker.
- Repeat the same process until all pakora batter is cooked.
- Serve the Paneer Pakora Waffle hot with Green Chutney & Dates Tamarind Chutney.

Heat Waffle maker, brush it with oil and add 1-2 Tbsp of Paneer Pakora batter, cover it and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the Paneer Pakora Waffle is done.
